SABH Foundation Inc.

Welcome to South Asian Behavioral Health and Training (SABH) Foundation Inc
A Non-Profit California Agency with goals to provide residential and mental health services to mentally & developmentally disabled, new immigrants and seniors.
Welcome to SABH
South Asian
Behavioral Health and Training (SABH) Foundation, is a non-profit agency
registered in the State of California. It was founded by Dr. Harmesh
Kumar, a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist with 27 years experience.
He has been helping the mainstream and South Asian communities for their
psycho-social and emotional needs for many years. Dr. Kumar saw and
listened to so many of our seniors and people with physical,
developmental and mental disabilities and their families suffering in
his clinical practice in the Bay Area and Central Valley over the years.
However, they did not have much to look forward to as there are no
psycho-social services available in their cultural and linguistic
context. Therefore, Dr. Kumar accepted this challenge and now many
good-hearted people have joined him.
However,
with the current economy and high joblessness rates there are many
people from the mainstream who cannot afford to get the services they
need. On top of that people with limited language skills and with
different cultural background sometimes cannot access the services due
to lack of knowledge about the available resources. People who came to
this country on tourist visas and got sick here or are in line to get
their green cards and legalization, they and their family members are at
a disadvantage due to the current political and economic environment of
the country. They mainly depend on their local communities and churches
for help. The SABH Foundation is trying to help people with disabilities
and our seniors who are not able to get the help they need due to their
limited English language skills and lack of awareness that such services
exist. They continue to suffer on their own and become more depressed
and sometimes suicidal and not able to cope with their medical bills.
Whenever, there are economic and other pressures on families, they can
result in use of alcohol/drugs, some in domestic violence incidents and
some deal by becoming depressed and ending their lives with suicide.
We are asking for your help by giving a
tax-deductible donation to South Asian Behavioral Health and Training
[SABH] foundation so that such deserving persons can be helped. We are tax-exempt and non-profit 501 C (3) organization registered
in the State of California.Your donation is tax deductible.

Services for Seniors
Our immediate goal is to establish our own South Asian Seniors' Independent, Assisted and Skilled Residential Care Facilities.
However, at this time we
are collaborating with private agencies to get the affordable and
culturally appropriate placement for South Asian Seniors and their
family members. We want to make sure that they get the services in their
cultural and liguistic context. Also we want to make sure that their
religious and spiritual needs along with their activities of daily
living are met effectively.
It's as important to us as it is to you in making the connection between
your and our family. At SABH Foundation Inc., we want to give our seniors
and their families the choices they need to live well. Our residents and
our staff come together to create an environment that enriches each
individual's experience to ensure that they are living their best
quality life. We want our residents to be active, healthy members of
their community and SABH Foundation Inc. supports their independence, their
character, and their lifestyle. To explore the lifestyle at the our
partnering facilities, their locations and learn more online about our independent, assisted
living and skilled nursing options.
